Au Départ, A World: The beginning of an inspirational dream
Paris, July 2020: On the Mediterranean coast where the sun touches the rocks on the shore, a carefree and joyous group enjoy the warm rays where the only “baggage” they carry are the styles from Au Départ which accompany them.
“Au Départ, Un Monde”, directed by Andrea Incontri along with photographer Giampaolo Sgura, captures the mood which visually tells the story of an unforgettable summer in the spirit of Au Départ. Relaxing on the warm rocks and stones or traipsing through sun-kissed fragrant fields where friendly bees buzz. Contented, romantic and peaceful, these characters keep their bags which hold dreams, hope, songs, poems and even flowers, held tightly to them. They contain a happy life’s essentials.

Au départ (at the beginning), I intended to pick two or three wildflowers. But, how unexplainable, there were all coming to me. Au départ, j'avais l'intention cueillir deux ou trois fleurs. Mais, je sais pas, elles s'offraient toutes à moi. Art direction by Andrea Incontri Photo by Giampaolo Sgura Words by Sophie Fontanel
Au départ (at the beginning), I was looking for the truck, I was carrying the bags. Au départ, je cherchais la camionnette, je rapportais les sacs. Art direction by Andrea Incontri Photo by Giampaolo Sgura Words by Sophie Fontanel
Au dèpart (at the beginning), growing up was the only option. But our childhood is everywhere, wherever you go. And that's the good news, actually.
